Mumbai will become the first ever Indian city to host a match between two teams that participate in a North American Sports League when the Sacramento Kings take on the Indiana Pacers in a preseason game on October the fourth. It has recently been announced that the game will be attended by nearly 3,000 students as a part ꩲof a Reliance Foundation’s Education and Sports for All initiative.
More than 70 Reliance Foundation Jr NBA Academies will be sent invitations to send its students to Mumbai in order to give them a chance to attend the match, as a part o🅺f the Reliance Foundation Jr NBA program. The league will also be hosting Jr NBA events, an NBA Academy India development camp for women and NBA Cares Community outreach programmes to reach fans across all age brackets throughout the city.
"We are proud to provide young Indian boys🥃 and girls under the Reliance Foundation Jr NBA program with the opportunity to experience the first-ever NBA game in India," NBA deputy commissioner and chief operating officer, Mark Tatum said in a media release, reported TOI.
THe two teams will go head to head in another game on ﷽the very next day, which will be open to all fans.
