Reports | IPL 2019 schedule announcement delayed again

The IPL fixtures, that were scheduled to be out on February 4, have further been delayed as the ඣelection commission is yet to reveal the election dates. Since the🎃 start of the league, every season during an election here had been moved abroad but this year, the tournament will be held in India.

In 2009, the IPL had to be conducted in South Africa due to the General Elections and UAE played host to the cash rich tournament during the 2014 elections. However, the BCCI had somehow managed to find timely soluti🐷ons and announced that the tournament would be conducted in India by March 23, despite the elections and the World Cup.

The fans and the franchises have been awaiting a confirmed schedule for the tournament but it will be a longer wai♛t as a report in Mumbai Mirror suggests, it might be another week.

“We’re working closely with the Election Co🙈mmission and all the authorities concerned and hopefully it will be out in a week,” Mumbai Mirror quoted a BCCI official saying.

However, the schedule might still undergo modifications and could not be deemed accurate until the General Elections. Meanwhile, the franchises might be at risk of not being able to play all the seven matches at their home ground. The BCCI is expected to have a final say on this but IPL 19 would definitely c🌃ome to an end early, to give the players enough time before the World Cup.
