Having conceded 122 runs for no wickets i🧜n the first innings of the Boxing Day Test, the pressure was on Siraj to deliver in the second innings. And deliver he did. After getting rid of Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith, India needed someone to end Labuschagne’s stay at the crease. Akash Deep came pretty close but Jaiswal failed to hold on to a sitter at gully and Labuschagne made India pay as he took Australia’s lead past 250 runs.
On the first ball of the 56th over, Si🍌raj bowled a back of a length delivery outside o𒆙ff stump. After pitching, the ball came back sharply and the way the Aussie batter reacted, he looked plumb. However, in desperation, he opted for the review and surprisingly the decision looked much closer than in real time. Luckily for India, Hawkeye showed the ball clipping the top of off stump and Siraj went into a frenzy. He turned to the crowd and hyped them up with screams of “Come on”.
The Twitteratti loved the reaction and were relieved with La🌼buschagne finally getting dismissed.
