CAN vs IND | India enters into Super 8 stage unbeaten after another washout in Florida

India closed out their Group A T20 World Cup 2024 campaign at the Central Broward Stadium with se𓂃ven points to their name after their encounter against Canada was washed out. The North American side, meanwhile, finished their mai🐎den appearance in the tournament without a victory.

‌The signs were ominous straightaway as the match officials declared the maidܫen inspection would take place at 10:30 local time, half an hour after the scheduled toss time. Umpires Richard Kettleborough and Sharfuddoula concurred the outfield was too wet for play to begin and scheduled another💯 inspection an hour later, whereafter the teams shook hands and the match was officially abandoned.

The no result in the dead ruꦐbber thus ended Canada's first-ever World T20 campaign. They threatened to snatch victories against the United States of America and Pakistan but eventually fell short of a maiden triumph. India, meanwhile, finished the group as table toppers and will be joined in their Super 8 group by Australia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh or the Netherlands.

The Me♏n in Blue will next take the field on June 20 in 💜Bridgetown against the Afghans.
