Despite losing the toss, the Capitals were favoured with their thought process to bat first. With Pooran’s quick knock of 27-ball 61 concluding in the twelfth over, LSG’s winning hopes almost subsided before Arshad Khan’s lusty blows kept the visitors in the hunt. The southpaw helped LSG extract 45 runs between overs 16-18 before Mukesh Kumar’s six-run 19th over reduced th𒆙e equation to 23 off the last over against Arshad, who already etched his maiden fifty. Rasikh Dar ended up conceding just three off the final over to keep the Capitals breathing due to mathematical possibilities.
