The run-out decision was sent upstairs, revealing a surprising twist. The big screen showed that Sajid had disturbed the stumps with his hands before gathering the ball. Both bails lit up before the ball was secured. Although Crawley was well short of his crease, he survived because Sajid broke the stumps before collecting the ball. The England openers breathed a sigh of relief as the big screen displayed "Not Out," while Sajid looked dejected.
