IND vs NZ | Twitter in awe as Jaiswal laughs in face of danger with audacious second-ball six

You can teach skills and hone talent, but harnessing temperament and a winning mentality is not nearly as straightforward. Thankfully for India, they don't have much to worry when it comes to the prodigious Yashasvi Jaiswal, as the young opener showcased in a fearless display on Saturday.

‌India took just an hour at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Day 3 of the second Test to scalp the five remaining Kiwi wickets and set themselves a daunting target of 359, courtesy of a fir🧔st innings deficit of 103 runs. With neither team managing to get past 300 in any of the three digs gone by, the task looked near unfathomable but the way in which a young Yashasvi Jaiswal came out all guns blazing ensured the Men in Blue supporters held firm with their dwindling hopes.

As always, the southpaw took strike while former New Zealand skipper Tim Southee was handed the shiny new red cherry to help earn the team some early breakthroughs. He nearly delivered straightaway after Yashasvi ferocio🍬usly slapped the veteran's opening effort towards gully but fortunately for the 22-year-old, it fell just short of Glenn Phillips. Any ordinary batter would have been fazed with such ominous beginnings but not this particular prodigy. Southee's next ball was straighter in line and angling towards middle and leg stump along with the swing on a good length. Without blinking, Yashasvi stood tall and hoicked the ball over square leg with a wild heave across the line.

Even though he did not manage the cl𓆏eanest of connections, it was enough to take the ball beyond the ropes and make a statement to the visitors that In🌳dia won't go gently into the good night, much to the jubilation of Twitterati.
