If ‘magic’ was a term used in cricket, it is often connected to bowling spells or a delivery in most cases. Although trailed in a similar track, Jason Behrendo🐼rff’s new ball spell at the Optus Stadium against the Melbourne Renegades had the fans in spell due to a tweaked scorecard.

Eyeing to make a mark at the Optus Stadium Perth, the Renegades had the luck during the toss and decided 💞to field first. Known for its bowling-friendly nature, the visitors benefitted from the ploy by extracting wickets regularly. However, Ashton Agar’s fighting fifty lower down the order propelled the Scorchers to a fighting score of 148. In response, Behrendorff offere𓂃d a fiery start to the hosts by perfecting a double wicket maiden, casting an optical illusion on the viewers.

Following three dots to start the innings, the left-arm tall pacer bowled a length delivery into Tim Seifert, aimed at the stumps. The Kiwi got inside the line and tried to loft it over mid on, but ended up getting the stroke off the inside p💖art of the willow. As the ball swirled towards the right of mid on, substitute fielder Andrew Tye hurled to his right and perfected a brilliant sliding catch. The lanky pacer pulled the length back and outside the stumps on the next ball, to which, Jake Fraser-McGurk edged to the keeper while intending a whip. Finn Allen, behind the wickets leaped to his right and maintained good poise to take an incredible catch. With Jacob Bethell neutralising the hattrick opportunity, Behrendorff kicked off the innings with a double wicket maiden and the scorecard read 2/0, optically confusion the fans on Twitterverse.
