As per an ESPNCricinfo report, all-rounder Shivam Dube’s service has been summoned for the ongoing five-match T20I series against England. He has been added as a cover for Nitish Kumar Reddy, who is suffering from a side strain and is expected to miss out on the second T20I in Chಞennai.

Reddy is expected to be sideline💝d from cricketing action for four weeks due to the side strain incurred. He was a part of the side in the first T20I, having taken a couple of brilliant catches, after becoming India’s highest run-getter down under.

Dube, on the flip s൩ide, last played for India in August in an ODI versus Sri Lanka. He will be available for India from the third T20I in Rajkot. The Mumbaikar missed out 🌠on the Bangladesh tour due to a back injury and returned for his State in the domestic season.

On returning in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Dube piled up 151 runs at 179.76 strike rate in five innings. He also bagged three wickets at an economy of 9.31. He was also a part of the Mumbai side in the recently-concluded Ranji Trophy fixture against Jammu and Kashmir which they lost by five wickets. He returned without disturbing the s♕corers in both innings.

Talked about the ongoing series, India has earned a 1-0 lead over the Three Lions after an emphatic triumph at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Varun Chakaravarthy gleamed with a three-fer while Abhishek Sharma’s 33-ball 79 decimated the visitors as India earꦡned a comprehensive seven-wicket victory. The second T20I will be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
