Usain Bolt continued his standing as the fastest man on planet as he won yet another Oly﷽mpic Gold in 100m after clocking 9.81 seconds, his best this season. Coming close on his heals was American Justin Gatlin at 9.89 seconds, while Canadian Andre De Grasse won the bronze after finishing in 9.91 seconds. Yohan Blake was 2/100ths of a second slower, also his season's best, but it was not enough to find him a place on the podium.

The title was always Andy Murray's to lose and he did not disappoint. He won a hard-fought match against Juan Martin Del Porto 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5. The Brit be🅠came the first person to win two tennis singles gold medals, as he defended the title he won in 2012 successfully. What a tournament it was for Juan Martin Del Petro, though. The Argentine returned from obscurity, and he defeated Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal on his way to the final.

Japanese Kei Nishkori played a stunning match to defeat Rafael Nadal 6-2, 6(1)-7, 6-3, and claim the bronze medal for himself. In the mixed doubles fiꦰnal, two American teams faced each other with Jac𒅌k Stock and Bethanie Mattek-Sands returning with the gold after defeating Venus Williams & Rajeev Ram 6-7, 6-1, 7-10. Czech pairing of Radek Stepanek and Lucie Hradecka won the bronze in their match against Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna.

Simone Biles continued her dominance by winning another gold medal in the final of the women's vault event. She managed a score of 15.900 in her first attempt and then pulled ahead of the rest of the field with a score of 16.033 in her second attempt, which g🉐ave her a final score of 15.900. It was her 3rd gold medal of this Rio Olympics, and she is still just 19! Russia's Maria Paseka won the silver with a score of 15.253, while Switzerland's Giulia Steingruber won the bronze by scoring 15.066.

Golf, which returned to the Olympics after a gap of 112 years, saw Great Britain's Justin Rose winning the gold with a score of 16 under par. Sweden's Henrik Stenson won the silver, while American Matt Kuchar, who had a brilliant final round, wo♛n the bronze.
