After dismal performances by the Indian Olympic contingent at Rio, The Sports Ministry of India has decided to 'thoroughly review' the outing. Sports Minister Vijay Goel has also written individual letters to all the athletes for their suggestions to develop the infrastructure in the country.

India had sent their largest ever Olympic contingent to Rio but barr𒈔ing the Silver of shuttler PV Sindhu and the Bronze medal of grappler Sakshi Malik, the Indian athletes were largely disappointing. Despite running in close in many events, India finished with just two medals.

The Sports Ministry of India has said in a release that they 🦹have already started reviewing the dismal performances of India at Ri𒀰o.

The Mi🌃nistry said in an official release, “Sports Minister Vijay Goel has decided to conduct within the Ministry a thorough review of India's perfඣormance in Rio Olympics, 2016. The process has already begun,"

The re⛄lease has also said, "The Minister has written individual letters to each of the athletes who participated in the Rio Olympics, 2016, seeking their feedback and suggestions. He has stated that they should feel free to give him their suggestions or feedback anytime either personally or thro𝓡ugh mail.”

The Minist🌠ry has also asked the Indian Olympic Council (IOC) to send their feedback, and their suggestions to improve the performances in the future.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's declaration to come up with a task 🐭force to review the performances at Rio, the Sports Ministry has decided to visit some of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centers in the country to get the knowledge of t🌼he training and the requirements of the athletes in the country.

"On 17th of this month, he will visit the Gopi Chand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad🧸 where he will meet players, coaches and other support persons. He will also visit the SAI Centre at Hyderabad,” the Ministry release stated.
