IPL 2024 | Twitter erupts as Manjrekar shuns crowd boos for Hardik’s homecoming

Similar to their past seasons, the 2024 Indian Premier League did not kick off well for the Mumbai-based franchise as they incurred defeats i🦩n their first couple of maꦡtches against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Adding to the woes, the franchise’s decision to opt Hardik as Rohit’s successor for the leadership role did not go down well with the fans, leaving them divided.

Having already been booed in their two away fixtures, this time their home venue turned their back on the Indian all-rounder during the toss. When Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya strolled to the center for the toss 🐽with Sanjay Manjrekar, the spectators at the venue started to boo the MI skipper, compelling Manjrekar to ask the crꦆowd to ‘behave’.
