AUS vs IND | Twitter reacts to Starc’s love affair with pink ball derail India on opening day
𒊎Australia trail by 94 runs on a dramatic opening day of the second Test at the Adelaide Oval. Despite starts from KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Nitish Reddy, India were folded for 180 before a 62-run stand between Marnus Labuschagne and Nathan McSweeney kept the visitors at bay in the pink-ball Test.
🌊Following a slight drizzle, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant kicked off the proceedings with the former failing after a batting demotion. Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin tried to stabilise the situation with Nitish Kumar Reddy but the former two departed quickly. With Starc coming in for his third spell, a couple of wickets fell leaving Nitish strangled with Jasprit Bumrah at 141/8. Just when it seemed Australia could fold them quick, the Andhra-based all-rounder clobbered three sixes against the pacers to propel India to 180 before falling as the last wicket for 42.
🌼The third session unfolded with Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney facing disciplined bowling from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. The southpaw was dismissed in Bumrah’s first spell before Marnus Labuschagne joined the youngster in blunting the new ball’s shine for a prolonged period. Labuschagne took 18 balls to get off the mark after surviving an intense face-off with Bumrah. India’s attack blunted as time passed by with other pacers barring Bumrah failing to test the Aussie duo. They took their time to mark the fifty-run stand and didn’t stop despite the constant chirpy slip cordon, steering Australia to 86/1 at Stumps.
Not interested?
ಞLooks like Virat Kohli took the charge of captaincy while Rohit Sharma is seen not interested in his job. 👀

Aussies all the way
🙈Australia in the driver's seat. In the most difficult batting conditions, they only lost one wicket. They were allowed to leave too many deliveries in contrast to Perth where India bowled straighter and got more wickets as a result. Bumrah needed more support.

Very well ahead
🌟Australia's day, they are well ahead. India was again terrible with the bat, we should have posted 300+ after being 69-1 but ended with a well below par total (180). And then ordinary bowling followed. Australia got better of India from the first ball & remained on top at stumps.

Fantastic
♏Fantastic Day 1, : A counter punch by (42 runs in 54 balls) after bowled a devastating spell (48-6). India were dismissed for paltry 180 in 44.1 overs. Hosts were circumspect and put 86-1 on the board. Advantage .

🎀- Trailing by just 94 runs, Marnus 20* (67) and McSweeney 38* (97) built a great partnership. A massive day for India tomorrow. 🇮🇳
Superb
What a day for Australia.

Starc, Boland and Cummins blew India away 180 all out!!!
Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne held fort for Australia as they got to 86!
🍒Smith, Head and Marsh must bat big and post a 200 run lead tomorrow! 🇦🇺🔥😭💃🏼🙏🏼 | :
Surely
🐎Surely India didn’t put on enough runs in the first innings. Logically, we would’ve now said that it’s Australia’s game but can we ever say such a thing with India having Jasprit Bumrah in the team? Interesting first session coming tomorrow. Australia won’t give up easily.

Mandatory
Need to put out a mandatory tweet that India have no chance in this test, they are a disappointment, bad side, no one knows how to play, no chance to win, 4-1 Australia etc.

So, we can win.
