Some players dare to push the boundaries in Test cricket and show fearless intent an꧃d a knack for taking risks. Such was the case on the first day of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy where the Indian batting lineup faced early setbacks, but Rishabh Pant rose to the occasion with his trademark aggression.

‌India endured a shaky start with the top order collapsing as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, and Virat Kohli fell early. KL Rahul offered some respite with a composed 26 off 74, but further setbacks came with poor contributions from Dhruv Jurel and Washington Sundar, leaving India struggling at 73/6. Amid the chaos, Nitish Kumar Reddy held one end steady, while Rishabh Pant lit up the game with a stunning six off Pat Cummins.

On the last ball of the 42nd over, Cummins delivered a fuller ball around the off stump. Instead of opting for a conventional push toward mid-on or mid-off, Pant displayed his audacity. He got inside the line and scooped the ball🐻 effortlessly over the long-leg boundary for a six. The well-executed sweep-scoop shot had him losing balance and nearly falling into the stumps, but the result was spectacular. Fans erupted in celebration as Pant registered the game’s first six, w🐎ith Twitter abuzz, applauding his boldness.
